Kitchen Cabinetry
Then as now, the some of the most important activities take place in the kitchen. Storage was paramount even in what we consider a simpler era. Cooking was done daily from scratch so the bins for staples like flour were common. Drawers were usually more numerous and generous. Cabinetry was designed to store a much more limited range of kitchen implements. In 1927, the small electric toaster was as likely to reside on the kitchen nook table as on the kitchen counter.
