World War II with it's rationing of goods and demand for war material restricted some home building and design, but not all of it. Homeowners continued to plan and dream of their own homes and how they would furnish their interiors.
Manufacturers with names like Armstrong, General Electric, and Honeywell, as well as thousands of other companies, offered owners an array of products to suit every taste and budget.
The French say,"Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose." No where in the home does history seem to repeat itself as in the bathroom.
